CHICAGO – Mike Kelly, Managing Partner of Park Development Partners, announced today the purchase of 23 acres of land at 24 Marble Street in Hammond, Indiana for $1.0 million.
The property is strategically located in Northwest Hammond, just minutes from the Illinois border. With close proximity to I-90 via Exit 5, the property offers unparalleled access to major transportation routes. The property is directly served by the IHB to all major rail services.
As a brownfield site, the City of Hammond will provide Park Development Partners with $10+ million in economic incentives. Cleanup of the site is currently underway and once complete, the ownership plans to construct a 500,000 s.f. build-to-suit industrial building, divisible into 70,000 s.f. units. The building will be a modern, precast green facility with 32’ clear ceiling heights and 50’ x 50’ column spacing; 10 truck docks expandable to 80 with 3 drive in doors and a 50’ x 60’ loading bays; and parking capacity for 80 trucks and 300 cars. The project is ideal for manufacturing, logistics and distribution companies.
"24 Marble is ideally suited for a manufacturing or logistics company trying to capture the rail service to all major lines and employees from the South side of Chicago,” said Mike Kelly, Managing Director of Park Development Partners.
